1. Who We Are

CAIELO Technologies Inc. ("CAIELO", "we", "us") is a Canadian software company providing MEP retrofitting compliance management services. We are subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Contractor and business contact information (name, email, phone)
• Building and project data entered by contractors
• Resident contact information (phone number, email, unit number) for notification purposes only
• Usage data and analytics (anonymized — no PII in analytics events)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Deliver our compliance management platform services
• Send project notifications to building residents via SMS and email
• Process payments through our payment processor (Stripe)
• Comply with TSSA and applicable regulatory requirements

4. How We Protect Your Information

All data is stored in AWS Canada (ca-central-1) data centres located in Canada. Resident contact information (phone numbers and email addresses) is encrypted at rest using AWS KMS with a Customer Master Key. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher.

5. Data Retention

Project compliance documents are retained for a minimum of 7 years in accordance with TSSA requirements. Resident contact information is retained only for the duration of the active project and deleted upon project closure unless otherwise required by law.

6. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), SendGrid (email), Auth0 (authentication). Each service is bound by its own privacy policy and data processing agreements.
